ABOUT THE PROGRAM
What is Hatha Yoga Teacher Training?
It is Hatha Yoga that constitutes the basis of all yoga forms that exist today. The word ‘hatha’ may be rendered to two Sanskrit words, ‘ha’, which stands for the sun, and ‘tha’, which means the moon; hence the balancing of opposite energies in the human body. There are physical positions called asanas, breathing techniques termed pranayama, cleansing activities called shatkriyas, and meditation in Hatha Yoga.
The program of training in Hatha Yoga conducted by Shiva Yoga Peeth comprises the practice of Hatha Yoga that has already been described in the renowned text of Hatha Yoga Pradipika. Our program comprises traditional Hatha Yoga together with contemporary educational methods.
Our courses are certified by Yoga Alliance USA and will appeal to practitioners of different skill levels.
